Carrefour Warsaw Halfmarathon 2007

CARREFOUR WARSAW HALFMARATHON

Fantastic turnout, course records in both male and female categories and a perfect weather - all this resulted in an event that has already become a milestone in the history of Poland's long-distance running. The temperature reached 14 degrees and the sun was there for everyone. Though the first to cross the finish line was the defending champion Michael Karonei (with a new course record), the real sensation became the ladies' winner. Poland's Justyna B±k finished in 1:12:14, mere 29 seconds slower than the current national halfmarathon record. The top 4 men and top 2 women finished the race in times better than the previous course records. 1606 runners have finished the race.
