48th Warsaw Marathon finisher medal – here it is!

7 September 2026 | 2 minutes of reading

Every year, we design our medals to carry additional symbolism. In 2025, for the first time, our medal consisted of two parts. You could give one to a loved one to thank them for being in your life. This year, we have once again designed a keepsake that is meant to be shared.

We want this medal to remind you not only of the distance you conquered but also of the city that guided your marathon journey – its history, symbols, and the landmarks you got to see from a runner’s perspective.

The second part of the medal can go to someone who stood by your side. To the person who waited at the finish line, cheered you on along the course, supported you through your training, or simply believed in you when your own faith was running low.

There are moments that stay with you for a long time. That moment right before the start. The final meters. The city cheering you on along the course. And the sight of a loved one you are looking for in the crowd. That split second when you put the medal around your neck and feel that your dream has just become a reality is entirely yours.

But behind our successes and joy, there is often someone else. Someone who was there through months of preparation. Who believed, supported, motivated, or simply accepted that you were going out for a run again.

That is why this medal can be shared. Detach one part—the outer ring—from the rest of the medal, attach it to the extra ribbon, and give it to someone you want to say THANK YOU!

You will find a second ribbon in your race pack. After the run, you can separate the medal and give one of its parts to the person you want to share your success with. You can also keep it whole – as a symbol of your own personal journey.

If you are not on the start list yet, join us and we will see you at the start line! Only the very last race bibs are left!
