The 47th Warsaw Marathon will again participate in the Abbott World Marathon Majors Marathon Tours & Travel Age Group World Championship as a qualifying event.
“Warsaw Marathon” Foundation and Abbott World Marathon Majors Marathon Tours & Travel are working together as part of the Age Group World Rankings. This year’s marathon is once again a qualifying race for the 8th edition of the Abbott World Marathon Majors Marathon Tours & Travel Age Group World Championship for runners aged 40 and over.
The Abbott World Marathon Majors Marathon Tours & Travel World Rankings consist of over 370 qualifying races, where runners in nine different age groups compete in marathons around the world to earn a place in the rankings.
Runners will compete in the following age groups: 40–44, 45–49, 50–54, 55–59, 60–64, 65–69, 70–74, 75–79, 80+. Championship website: www.Abbottwmm.com
How does it work?
Runners will be ranked based on their single fastest time achieved in qualifying races. Any runner who meets the qualifying time standard for their age group will receive an automatic invitation to the 2026 AbbottWMM MTT Age Group World Championship. To receive the invitation, runners must be registered at AbbottWMM.com.
A total of 2,500 spots will be available. Qualification based on ranking will be awarded in early 2026, provided the runner has officially expressed their interest in participating in the Championship.
