The entry fee for the Warsaw Marathon until September 22 is 250zł (PLN), and from September 23 – 300zł (PLN) (during online registration and at the race office). Online registration will close on September 24, 2022. There will be a possibility to sign up for the race personally at the Race Office of the 44th Warsaw Marathon, with the proviso that the total pool of starting numbers/race bibs for those registering after 22.09.2022 and available at the Event Office is 200.
Among other things each participant will receive a race bib with an electronic timing chip, a bag and the possibility to use deposits, service at water and refreshment stations (Magnesia mineral water, OSHEE isotonic drink, Yellow bananas), drinks and a recovery meal after finishing the marathon, the possibility to receive massages, and a medal behind the finish line.
You can add a New Balance technical T-shirt or a souvenir cotton T-shirt to your race packet (the number of T-shirts is limited) and engraving of your result on the medal.
2. Race-kit puck up
You can pick up your race packet at the Race Office located in the Palace of Culture and Science (Plac Defilad 1, the entrance is from Marszałkowska Street).
Opening hours of the Race Office:
• September 23, 2022 (Friday) – 2:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
• September 24, 2022 (Saturday) – 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
NOTE: On the day of the marathon, the Race Office will not be open.
If you pick up the race packet personally- the package will be issued on the basis of your ID.
If you want someone to collect the race packet on your behalf – print out and sign the race card (the card will be downloadable from the athlete’s profile – after registering in the YOUR RUN tab in the second half of September) and attach a photocopy of your ID card. Based on these two documents, your race packet will be available for another person to pick up.
Charity runners! When you visit the Expo, be sure to visit the booth of the organization for which you are running as part of the #RunningGood campaign. Representatives of all organizations will be waiting for you throughout the operation of the Race Office.
3. Race-kit shipment
Those who have ordered and paid for a shipping package as part of their running registration can download their race cards from the runner’s panel.
Send a clear scan or a photo of your signed race card to: wysylka@maratonwarszawski.com by September 8, 2022.
To download your start card:
1. log on to the website: https://rejestracja.maratonwarszawski.com/pl/
2. go to the YOUR RUN tab
3. select the DETAILS button, and then DOWNLOAD RACE CARD
If you do not receive your card by the deadline, you will be able to pick up your race packet at the Event Office on a standard basis.
Shipments will be made approximately two weeks before the race. If you do not receive your package by September 20, 2022, please report it to wysylka@maratonwarszawski.com.
4. Getting to the start
The number of parking spaces in the area of the start is very limited. We recommend arriving by public transportation, e.g. to Dworzec Gdański subway station. Remember that on the day of the marathon you can travel by public transport in ticket zone I for free, based on your race bib.
Before arriving at the start, check temporary changes in traffic organization in the specially prepared TRAFFIC INFORMATOR.
5. Start Organization
The start of the run will be at 9:00 a.m. The starting line will be closed approximately 10 minutes after the starter’s shot.
Participants in manual wheelchairs will start from the first line at 8:57 am.
Line up in the designated zone according to the designation on your race bib. Assignment to a specific zone is made according to your declared time, stated in the entry form.
Please note that those who pay the entry fee after August 31, 2022, are not guaranteed location to the time zone based on the declared result.
6. Water and refreshments stations
Refreshment points with mineral water MAGNESIA will be placed at intervals of about 2.5 kilometers starting from the 5th kilometer. Additionally, OSHEE isotonic drinks and YELLOW bananas will be located at every other point starting from the 10th kilometer. You can find the details on the route map attached below and on the PICTURE.
Remember that each water and refreshment point is about 100m. You do not need to run up to the first table – water is available at both the initial and further tables. You can avoid “jamming” the zone by running up to the further tables.
IMPORTANT: there will be “drop zones” set up behind each water and refreshment point on the same side of the route where you can drop your cup. We strongly urge you to throw your trash into the marked zones. This will keep things tidiness and avoid throwing cups under the feet of runners running behind you and polluting the roadside.
There will be toilets near each of the water and refreshment points.
Toilets for people in manual wheelchairs will be located at water and refreshment point nr 3 (10km), nr 7 (20km), nr 1 (30km), nr 15 (40km).
7. Deposits
In your race package you will receive a bag that allows you to deposit your belongings before the run. To deposit your belongings, you must stick a sticker with your race bib on the bag, which you will find in your packet.
Marathon participants’ deposits will be accepted on Sanguszki Street between 7:00 and 9:00 a.m. You will find the number of the car to which you can give your deposit on your race bib.
You will need your race bib to collect your deposit behind the finish zone. The deposit can be collected until 4:00 p.m. from the same cars that will go to Wisłostrada and will be waiting for you just behind the finish zone. The organizer is not responsible for valuables left in the deposit.
After 4:00 p.m. the collection of deposits will be held from the Info point in the Town.
8. Behind the finish line
At the finish line you will receive: a medal, Magnesia mineral water, OSHEE isotonic drink and Yellow banana.
Moreover, you can enjoy a recovery meal based on your race bib.
After the run, participants will also have the opportunity to use the changing rooms, massage and showers. Showers will be available at the Polonia Center building, 6 Konwiktorska Street.
9. Pacemakers
Pacemakers will help you to achieve your dream time at the finish line of the 44th Warsaw Marathon. They will run on times: 3:00, 3:10, 3:15, 3:20, 3:25, 3:30, 3:35, 3:40, 3:45, 3:50, 3:55, 4:00, 4:10, 4:15, 4:20, 4:30, 4:40, 4:50, 5:00
10. Timing
Time measurement is carried out by a chip placed in your race bib.
General classification is based on actual times (net – counted from crossing the starting line). The exception is the first 200 people crossing the finish line – they are classified on the basis of official times (gross – from the starter’s shot), with the proviso that if there are not at least 8 men and 8 women among the first 200 people at the finish line, the number of 200 people will increase to include them.
All additional classifications (age, branch) are based on actual times (net – counted from crossing the starting line).
11. Decorations of runners
Decoration on the main stage will be carried out in the general classification, the classification of athletes on hand-powered wheelchairs and age categories.
